The Visual Communication Design Programs offer programs in
Graphic Design and Media Arts, aimed at developing the talent
to create expressive visual products through various "visual
media."
The curriculum of the Graphic Design Program ranges from the
foundations of design to computer software operation. Throughout
the curriculum, students are expected to gain an ability to
express unique ideas by developing their own personalities and
to efficiently communicate by quickly grasping the essence of
information.
The three media of photography, video, and computer graphics
are the main subjects in the Media Arts Program, which trains
students to become experts in media arts for the new information
age. After experiencing these media and understanding their
properties, each student selects one media to further investigate.
The training supports advanced extensions such as video installation
and interactive movies.
The teachers in these programs are all media designers or active
creators. Their rich experience and knowledge in the real world
is reflected in the program, and provides a good opportunity
for students to learn professional attitudes and the social
customs of working together as a team. |

The Future Design Program aims at training entrepreneurs
who can create and develop new industrial fields in the information
society era, and currently offers three main programs: Amusement
Design, e-Business and Future Planning.
The Amusement Design field has two sub-programs: VFX (special
visual effects) and Games, each of which provides education
and training in "visual contents" and related areas.
The e-Business field is sub-divided into e-Business Management
and Web Design programs, training students as potential managers
who have mastered the principles, planning and practices of
commercial products, regional development and future vision.
The Future Planning field has two sub-programs. One of them
is Informatics, which provides comprehensive courses in such
subjects as conceptualization and design management. Another
sub-program is Design Development, where students learn to propose
what to plan and how to manage planning by understanding the
characteristics of the corporation or the region before actually
making products. |
